Organization

In January 2001, the Gold Coast Library Network was recognized as Region VII of the Library of California. The planning of the Network was a two-year process that began with the creation of the Core Planning Group in 1998. The documents below serve as an account of this process.

Meetings - All meetings of the Gold Coast Library Network have an agendas and corresponding minutes. The agendas from past meetings, as well as the agenda for the forthcoming meeting, are posted here. Minutes are a recorded log of activity at Network meetings. Minutes from past meetings of the Network are posted here. Minutes are posted approximately 1-2 weeks after the meeting date. Agendas and minutes from prior fiscal years are located in the meeting archives section of this website.

Bylaws - The Gold Coast Library Network is governed by a set of bylaws, which were created and approved by the Core Planning Group in April 2000. The Library of California approved these bylaws in May 2000.

Annual Plan of Service - Each year, the Gold Coast Library Network submits an annual plan to the Library of California. The most current annual plan of service is posted here. Prior annual plans of service are posted in the document archives section of this website.

Long-range plan - A long-range plan was written by Gold Coast staff and approved at the Network's Annual Meeting on March 28, 2002. The Library of California will meet to discuss this and other regional long-range plans on May 29-30, 2002.
