Congratulations to the 2013 GCLN Scholarship Winners!

Friday, April 19, 2013 –

Amanda Grundmann is this year’s Employee Scholarship winner. She currently works at UCSB Library’s Interlibrary Loan department. Her goal is to work as an instruction librarian in an academic library, focusing on instructional design and services to distance education students. She will use the scholarship to attend the American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago. There she will attend sessions and present the ALA New Members Round Table, Student Chapter of the Year Award.

Jodie Jonsson has been awarded our Student Scholarship. She is a reprographics technician at Cuesta College Library who also volunteers at the Morro Bay Library. As a long-time library patron, she finds library work extremely fulfilling. Jodie will use the scholarship to purchase needed textbooks and supplies to complete her Associate’s Degree in Library Technology at Cuesta College. She hopes to use this degree to find a full-time position at a local academic or public library.
