Amigos Library Services

The Library of California has funded general memberships for this service until June 2002. Amigos Library Services is a not-for-profit resource sharing network headquartered in Dallas, Texas. As general members, libraries will be able to access services ranging from discounts on library supplies and electronic information resources to member rates for imaging and preservation services as well as training.
California Digital Library

The California Digital Library program supports a number of projects including the Online Archive of California project and Counting California. Melvyl, the combined catalog of all the UC libraries, is also available at this site.
Counting California, a service of the California Digital Library located at http://countingcalifornia.cdlib.org, takes advantage of Internet and digital library technologies to enhance public access to the growing range of social science and economic information available from government agencies. This services is supported by state and federal research grants.
California Preservation Clearinghouse

The California Preservation Clearinghouse (CPC) is a website designed to provide information that will aid institutions in repair of books and documents, preparation for disasters affecting collections and buildings, dealing with mold and bug infestation, education of staff and users on material handling practices, and conducting preservation assessments. The CPC is the result of an LSTA grant from the California State Library. Its mission is "to preserve the collections of California's cultural institutions by providing preservation information for the staff of those institutions."
Librarian's Index to the Internet

The Librarians' Index to the Internet (LII) is a searchable, annotated subject directory of over 8,000 librarian-selected and evaluated resources. Directory entries range from Arts--Architecture to Women--Studies. Subject listings range from 13th Floor Elevators (musical group) to Zydeco music.
